There’s a wealth of beautiful, overseas destinations to choose from when it comes to picking the perfect place to set your overseas photoshoot, but how do you choose which one is right for you? 1. Hong Kong
Hong Kong is known for Its sky-scrapper studded skyline, and being just four hours away it’s a popular choice for a vibrant pre-wedding shoot. Veer away from tourist clichés and go in search for hidden gems amidst the chaos - it won’t be hard to find interesting backstreets within the stunning colonial architecture, or live like a local and enjoy the markets at Temple Street, Ladies Street or the infamous Tai Yuen Market.

Shanghai is beautiful to visit in the Spring and Autumn. Known mainly as a young, modern city, it’s actually a city of beautiful contrasts - crumbling lane houses are juxtaposed with shiny highrises as old and new Shanghai exist together. Shanghai is a dynamic city with so much to offer, get lost amongst the crowd and explore areas like Xintiandi and Tianzifang, it’s architecture a mix of western and chinese are sure to create some unique backdrops.

3. England, Manchester, Manchester United Football Club Stadium
Are you or your groom a die hard football supporter? Why not take this opportunity to tick something off your bucket list and head to England to visit your teams grounds? There’s nothing quite like the buzzing atmosphere of a live game, so if you can get permission, go for it. If football isn’t for you, head out of the city and visit one of the nearby villages or why not jump on a train to London and visit a local pub.

4. Japan, Tokyo
Tokyo is the cultural and economic center of Japan and so holds an array of photogenic spots to host your shoot. We all know the weeping blossoms of Koishikawa Korakuen during spring, but if you’re after old-time vintage check out Asakusa - packed with traditional architecture and Japanese gardens, or if you’re after something more modern you can’t go wrong with the hustle and bustle of Shibuya, infamous for THAT crossing, it’s the perfect spot for that quintessential Tokyo shot.

5. Indonesia, Bali, Tamblingan Lake
A mere hop, skip and a jump from Singapore, with Its picturesque landscapes - from mountains to beaches, rice paddies to forests - there is no surprise that Bali is one of the favourite locations for pre-wedding photography. For a quiet spot away from tourists Tamblingan Lake and shrines, surrounded by dense rainforest, is a must see location for both natural beauty and cultural charm.

6. France, Paris, Eiffel Tower
Paris, the European centre for art, food, fashion and love. Known for the Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame cathedral and of course the iconic Eiffel Tower, there is no shortage of stunning backdrops for your pre-wedding photoshoot. If you’re looking for a modern edge utilise The Louvre’s mix of modern and historical architecture, or if you’re looking for more local delights head over to Montmartre or the colourful houses of Rue Cremieux.

7. Greece, Santorini, Oia
Known for its whitewashed cubiform houses atop rugged landscape, Oia sits above an underwater caldera overlooking the Aegean Sea. The famous carved architecture makes for a beautiful backdrop, you can’t help but feel like a greek goddess in your wedding gown looking out to sea. After a 17 hour flight from Singapore to Greece, make sure you give yourself enough time to visit the surrounding Islands of Naxos and Mykonos.

8. New Zealand, Hooker Valley Track
New Zealand is such a beautiful part of the world it’s hard to narrow down locations. If you’re after an adventure and some stunning landscapes, Mount Cook National Park in Christchurch is home to some of the tallest mountains and biggest glaciers. The Hooker Valley track is suitable for all levels of fitness and offers beautiful views of the New Zealand Southern Alps.

9. USA, Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon in Arizona is one of the seven wonders of the world. The layed bands of red rock that give the area Its famous red colour makes for some epic imagery. The land is rich with geological history, native cultures and stunning vistas, making it one of the must see destinations on the planet. For the best views and the highest elevation head to Navajo Point.

10. Australia, Perth, Fremantle Market
Perth is full of iconic locations, but it you want to live like a local visit Perth’s Fremantle Market. First established in 1897 It is renowned for Its vibrant culture, heritage and distinctive atmosphere. Be welcomed to Fremantle by Mark Canning’s Rainbow at Beach Reserve, a 9ft high art installation of colourful, recycled shipping containers that welcomes all visitors coming by train, car or boat.
