Wei Yuan and Pei Ling were both volunteers at the Singapore Association of the Deaf in their uni days. They spent their weekends and holidays giving tuitions to the kids over there, so this place held special meaning not only to the both of them, but also to their buddies that witnessed the growth of their love.
SADEAF was the place they wanted to hold their Matrimony ceremony, a place that tied their hearts together. A simple school setting, nostalgic and warm.
This wedding is about memories, friends, and family. Both being the Tans (陈), we decided to have this wedding a familiar tuck shop theme.
“陈记”, potentially a name they will give their cafe (if they ever open one) speaks about the union of the Tans, where 2 becomes 1. This tuck shop wedding serves childhood goodies, tao huey and chin chao, peng kueh and lollipops. If you like, you could possibly win a single "囍" tile in their mahjong game, or defeat all the opponents with a sure-win giant Singapore eraser.
After all the fun, do remember to drop your little angbao into their biscuit tin!
